Our Story
We build free, fast, and private tools for the small tasks that fill everyday digital work.
PixelTools started from a familiar frustration: needing to count words, format a block of JSON, or resize a photo, and landing on a site that demanded an account, buried the actual tool under three ad banners, or quietly uploaded a personal file to a server somewhere before doing anything useful. None of these tasks should take more than a few seconds. So we built the tool site we kept wishing existed — one destination with 110+ free utilities that open instantly, work entirely in your browser wherever possible, and never ask for an email address just to function.
Today, PixelTools is organized into five focused categories — Text Tools, Developer Tools, Calculators, Utility Tools, Image Tools, PDF Tools, and File Conversion Tools — covering the small, recurring tasks that fill an average day of digital work. We add new tools based on what people actually ask for, not what's trendy to build.
Online tool directories have a bad reputation for good reason: aggressive ads, forced sign-ups for trivial tasks, and a business model that often depends on collecting more data than the tool itself requires. We think that's backwards. A password generator doesn't need your email address. An image resizer doesn't need to keep a copy of your photo. So we don't ask, and we don't keep one.
Wherever a tool can run entirely in your browser using JavaScript, it does — meaning your text, files, and inputs are processed on your own device and never transmitted to our servers. This isn't a marketing claim; it's a default we engineer toward for every new tool we ship. You can read the specifics of how we handle (or rather, don't collect) data on our Privacy Policy page.
Every tool we build stays free. We never plan to lock existing functionality behind a paywall.
We process data in your browser whenever technically possible, not on our servers. Your inputs are never our product.
No loading spinners, no waiting rooms. If a tool can return a result instantly, it does.
No account walls, no unnecessary settings. Open a tool, use it, and move on with your day.
PixelTools will keep growing the same way it started: by listening to what people actually need and shipping tools that solve a real, specific problem well, rather than chasing every possible feature. If there's a tool you wish existed, or an existing one that could work better for you, we'd genuinely like to hear about it on our Contact page.
